A Real Picture of Hindu Religion ( Sanatan Dharma)

Before writing anything, I want to clear that the real intension of this new blog is to present a real picture of Hindu religion rather than hurting the feelings of any community.

Today the western culture and people are getting attracted toward the Indian culture and especially Indian religion but when you see the real picture in India you will find that its major religion is declining rapidly Why? Well there is no single reason behind it but there are many reasons which are not possible to cover completely in this small blog but I will present few major reasons.

1.    First of all the bitterest truth is increase conversion of Hindu people into other religion especially Buddhism, Islam, Christianity and Jainism.

2.    Reduction in birth rate of Hindu people this seems to be stupid reason but when you see the fact of population count done recently it clearly indicates that major part of Hindu population which maintained a steady population level of 80 crores have declined to nearby around 70 crores in 2011.

3.    There is no any practice of conversion in Hindu religion. Any person in world irrespective of his religion can practice teachings and basic principles of this religion without getting converted into Hindu.

4.    Myths thrown by media in newspaper, programs and daily updates.

5.    Increase in influence of western culture on Indian youth which has resulted in social and moral decline of society.

6.    Terrorism whose main victim and target is Hindu peoples.

Myths about Hindu religion and its culture

1.    Well there are many myths which are prevailing in western culture and even among Hindu peoples.

1 It is believed that in sanatan dharma there are 33 crores of god in this religion but the real fact is that sanatan darma believe only in one god, according to Vedas even before the starting of universe there was only jyoti (light) which we call aadi shakti who is the main creator of the world or simply God he created three powers Brahma ,Vishnu and Mahesh (shiva) and gave them the function of creation (Bhrama) development (Vishnu)  and destruction of life (Shiva). The actual fact behind this story was to explain those three stages which govern life i.e. birth, development and death. Brahma created universe and then created other powers in the form of devi and devtas giving them special works and role in universe.

2 Most of the western philosophers and missionary have their favorite tool of conversion is to attack on Hindu religion by finding loopholes in it especially caste system, sati pratha. Now I want to make it clear that caste system was created to distribute the work among peoples e.g. the Brahman the scholars, kshatriya the warrior veshiyas the businessman and shudras laborious workers. People especially Brahmin for their selfish motives started practicing evil practices like untouchability, sati pratha and other practices which are not at all discussed in Vedas.

3Western people are always confused about Vedas because most of the translation was done by christen missionaries ( Max Muler) whose major aim was to convert mass population of India into Christianity so they hide the actual fact even from western world because they knew that if western people will know the truth they will start practicing the Indian culture.

4 Idol worship Vedas clearly says that for a person who knows god does not need to practice idol worship for meditation but those people who don’t know how to concentrate on god can do it by keeping a idol in front of them. So idols are actually objects of concentration and not treated as god how you can concentrate on god without imagining about him.

Why Hindu religion is better?

1.    First of all it provides full freedom to its followers to choose their own path of spiritual development.

2.    It does not force its people to follow a particular practice if you wish you can follow.

3.    It focuses more on spiritual development rather than getting messed up with cultural practices.

4.    It gives full freedom to its people to question so you can get a logical answer and reject a particular practice.

5.    It is more scientific than any other religion in the world because it promote the logical reasoning no religion in the world have promoted science except Hindu religion e.g. in Vedas you can find discussion about physics chemistry, math’s, biology, pharmacy and even genetics.

   6  The only religion who says vasudev kutumbakam (means the whole world is your home and all people in the world is your family members so love each and every person) and sarvadharma sambhava (all religions are acceptable in the world).

Can Hindu Religion solve the problems of today world?

Yes it can solve the problems of today world look at these facts.

1.    70 crores of Hindu people could not present even a single terrorist. Does not support violence.

2.    No forcing its own culture on any person.

3.    More scientific religion as it the only religion which has discussed science in detail in its scared text.

4.    Does not support many marriages only believe in a single marriage system and believe in building strong family.

5.    Premarital sexual affairs are considered as immoral and illegal so chances of AIDS and STD are very less as there will be no sexual contacts.

6.    Women’s are given more freedom to make their own decisions.

7.    Children’s are raised in environment of high moral values and it is considered as their primary duty to respect their elders.  

Although there is lot of good stuff present in this religion it is still declining because its people have lost their interest in their own culture and their sanatan dharma it is up to peoples who want to restore their culture or want to lose it.
